I've got a friend who told me phone sex isnt a sin cuz its just imaginary and doesn't really happen.... I told him its a compromise of our purity... And its a way we allow our the desires of our body to be fulfilled instead of being strong in our spirit....
Please post your suggestions....

What you told your friend was the prue thing to say and to think, this is what pleases God. :D

We can justify our choices of sin and allow the devil to make us think our behaviour is ok, he is a master at that. his first victim was Eve and the tactics he uses have not changed much over all this time, but the world we live in sure has making all things available.

But what we allow of the world into our mind, heart, body and spirit is what may make us miss out on the best God had planned for us.
Just as we have been given freewill to choose Christ, we have also been given freewill as to how we will spend our daily lives as Christians, serving Him or serving ourselves as people of this world.

We are required to wear Gods armour (Ephesians 6:11-17) to guard our mind with the helmet, our heart with the breastplate, our body with the shield, our spirit with the sword and the word, ...................or do/be as the world and pursue self pleasure.

It really is that simple. Its lust. Lust perverts your heart. Lust is a sin.

Just because you do not see the face of the woman who is playing this mind-game with you, you are still fantasizing someone in your mind.

The word lust in Matthew 5:28 is the Greek word 'Epithumeo' which literally means 'the desire for that which is forbidden'. And 1 Corinthians 7:4 tells us that in a marital sense, a wife's body belongs to her husband (and vice versa). Thus it is therefore impossible to lust (epithumeo) after your wife.

Hmmm.... Okay.... But he said what he you're sure that the girl you're doing it with will be your wife one day and you'll marry her only....its still wrong isn't it??? Considering the fact that whether you're sure to marry her or not you havent really made vows before God....in front of witnesses.... Thats the only way to call someone your wife or husband right???

no phone sex before marriage manh. thats it,its not allowed IN ANY condition. When he finds it hard not to, its because he sees it as right, and has already done it. thus a slave to it, only the redeeming blood of JESUS can take me him out of that yoke. and as a slave to that sin, he can say WHATEVER to defend it. but be firm, commandments can not be dissolved by environment nor have anything added to them.

and a pastor joins two for marriage, plus man, i believe you need to focus on other things man, and this friend of yours you have to pray for. 19 is young, and thinking about these things at this age, can make you fall into sin.

read the word of GOD, spend time with GOD. and have good friends around you, a small leaven, leavens the whole lump ..

Hey gad, if you truly want to live out the will of God for your life, scripture says, after becoming a christian (1 Timothy 2:4) God's primary will for your life is that you abstain from sexual immorality (1 Thessalonians 4:3). So many people want to know why they don't feel like there living in the will of God for their life yet they are living in sex sin. The bible says, you live out God's revealed will (scripture), then he will direct you in the path of his unrevealed will (Proverbs 3:6).

"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."Mathew 5:28
looking at someone lustfully is nothing but you are imagining sexual act with her. Its a sin if you do phone sex, it is a determined sin.

So I don't really know how to phrase this, but I had a friend who thought that they could....preform certain acts upon each other and that as long as they didn't actually um, have full sex they were ok. But they are wrong, and so is your friend! Lust is the sin here combined with a serious lack of self control.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
