Fornication, Masterbation, Pornography

I started my faith walk almost 6 years ago. In the beginning, letting go of a long history with Masterbation and pornography was quick. It was a sudden distaste for it. As time went on & the mixture of hormones and loneliness set in I was tempted & fell to it. Then a long season happened where I didn't do it anymore.

Its back now. I gave my complete "virginity" away to my fiancé one night a few months ago. He satisfied those desires for a while (I reali this is sin too) but then I would get aroused when he wasn't around & turn to porn. I am sick & tired of this cycle. I am going on a fast because I know I love Christ more than anything.

I woke up in the middle of the night/morning and I believe the Lord led me to Ephesians 6. I know this is a spiritual war we are in, I'm hoping this fast will help in my fight against the enemy!!

I just need you guys prayers so that I would continue to look to Christ... For everything!

Anytime I feel tempted by anything I throw myself into God's word. I read and imagine what it would be like to have lived in those time. I think about the people and the lands on which they lived, their daily customs, their names, etc. I immerse myself so completely that the temptation is gone. And I just keep reading because it is all so fascinating!

Ask yourself what you are insecure about when you are tempted in this area. Self medicating behaviors are usually born out of insecurity. Not doing something out of sheer will power is like being a dry drunk. There is a deeper underlying something that is causing this In you. Ask for God to reveal it to you then search diligently for the cause.

It is a ministry devoted to helping people with sexual sins of various natures. Including porn addiction. Last time i was on it they had reviews of different software available for preventing you from going on certain sites.
Usually these are password protected so you can't turn them off, and of course, someone other than you needs the password. Different ones work in different ways. So that may be another idea to consider adding to whatever route you chose to go down to stop this.
