Where is Jesus to comfort and give me rest? Where is the yoke? What does he want me to do? Why did hoping Jesus was real only disappoint and leave me completely alone?
Jesus was speaking to those who had long been under the yoke of the law. None of us can obtain righteousness or peace with God through our own efforts. We need to place saving faith in Christ instead and be born again of his Spirit. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that any of us can truly overcome in this fallen world.

You take the offer by believing that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead. Through his sacrifice, we can find forgiveness for our sins in this life, and through his resurrection, we can find the hope of eternal life in the kingdom to come. Again, you must be born again in a spiritual sense. Then, the Holy Spirit will give you the strength and wisdom to make it through in this life.
