    The Yoke of Christ?

A rabbi's 'yoke' was a summary statement of his teaching - for Christ, love God and love your neighbor. He was directly addressing the theological hairsplitting that the Saduccees and Pharisees were often involved in and the burden it laid upon the people.

    The rapture is close?

I agree. Where did I say it was? The rapture occurs before the DotL judgments begin to fall. We are only promised recue from the judgments not the GT. and as shown above the DotL cannot occur until after the triple sign in the sky, which is after the GT.

    The rapture is close?

Where does it say this? Again you provide no scripture; you're just stating your belief. Any notion of a pre-trib rapture is incorrect because the scripture says that the DotL will not occur until after the GT and the triple sign in the sky, per Matt 24:29 and Joel 2:31. How do you wiggle out...

    ARE YOU PRE-TRIB, MID-TRIB, PRE-WRATH, OR POST-TRIB?

Two key items that are critical to understanding end-times chronology: When does the DotL begin - Joel 2:31 explicitly says that the DotL will be preceded by the sign in the skies: "The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes...

    The rapture is close?

Any notion of a pre-trib rapture is incorrect because the scripture says that the DotL will not occur until after the GT and the triple sign in the sky, per Matt 24 and Joel 2. Perhaps try backing up your assertions with scripture for a constructive conversation. Mere;y stating your belief...

    The rapture is close?

I agree that Jesus is the one opening the seals; I have no issue with that. But the 6th seal aligns with the triple sign spoken of in Joel 2 and Matt 24. Therefore, the first 6 seals are not a part of the DotL either.

    The rapture is close?

This again referes to the GT, but does not indicate that the GT is the full 3.5 yrs long. The revelaing of the AC mirrors the revealing of Christ in Revelation - it is not the revealing of his identity, it is the revealing of his character. The AoD is how he does this. This is special...

    The rapture is close?

The gathering of the elect in Matt 24 is the rapture and it fits in exactly where I've indicated: AoD -> triple sign -> DotL (rapture is the first event of the DotL) at the last trump that is blown by God (not an angel), Zech 9:14: 14 Then the LORD will appear over them, And His arrow will go...

    The rapture is close?

Rev 12 only deals with the time that Israel is protected in hiding; it doesn't speak to the length of the GT. If Israel is protected during that time, logically then she can't be subject to the GT as Christians will be.

    The rapture is close?

But that only begs the question of where in Revelation is the GT equated with 3.5 yrs?

    The rapture is close?

No, I don't see how that helps at all. At best, it points to the knowledge that the Father has that the Son doesn't; since Jesus says He doesn't know the day or hour. If it were 3.5 yrs, everyone will know when His coming is.

    The rapture is close?

But it also has the meaning of shorten. You can't shorten something that wasn't longer to begin with. How long was it before it was shortened?

    The rapture is close?

No, I believe Matt 24 and Dan 12 are connected; but Dan 12:6 is speaking of all the wonders, not just the GT. The GT is but a single event that happens within the 3.5 yr timeframe. Does that make sense? I don't see how the GT can be 'cut short' if it was established hundreds of years earlier to...

    The rapture is close?

All passages agree that there is a 3.5 yr period - I do not deny that. What I'm saying is that nowhere in scripture is the GT given a length of 3.5 yrs. That is simply made up. The verb for 'cut short' koloboo means to mutilate or shorten. You can't have a given time period be 3.5 yrs long and...

    The rapture is close?

Nowhere is the GT described as 3.5 yrs long; rather Jesus said it will be 'cut short'. Rev 20:4-5? Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God...

    The rapture is close?

It does take place in at least two phases: Christ (Who is explicity called the firstfruits), and those at His coming (the Harvest).

    The rapture is close?

The two resurections are resurrections of TYPE, not TIME. The first is to life, the second to death. The first will take place in 3 phases: 1st - Christ (the firstfruits), 2nd - those changed at His Coming (the harvest), 3rd - the sheep who remain at the end of the DotL (the gleanings).

    The rapture is close?

But the beginning of the birthpangs are nowhere equated with the beginning of 70th week of Daniel. The thlipsis Jesus spoken of has been happening the entire length of the church. This is pure conjecture. Nothing explicity connects the Seals with the beginning of the 70th week either. While I...

    The rapture is close?

To be crystal clear, all of what I wrote above ASSUMES that pre-millenial futurism is the proper framework to interpret eschatology. I, myself, an open to that question as I have seen some merit in other schools of thought as well (amillenialism, preterism, etc.). However, assuming futurism is...
