There is a point where examining oneself can be taken to the extreme. When taken to the extreme, it often produces more questions than answers. I have personal experience with this kind of self examination.

I don’t think that someone who has homosexual desires would necessarily be able change those desires on becoming Christian. Basically one may become a Christian and still feel those same desires and temptations. Consider also that the greedy are mentioned in this list as well. We all struggle...

I think the difference is that in being confident in the Lord, one hopes and trusts in him ; however, if one is high minded, this implies pride and looking down on and casting judgement on others.

To be honest, I have felt uncertainty surrounding my own salvation for years. Some moments more assured and other moments not as much. I have received Jesus and my hope is in him.

I don’t think Jesus was denying being good himself. He may have been gaslighted before. I think Eve seemed to have been gaslighted.

I would think Judas knew he was lying. Though perhaps he could have justified his actions of stealing the money. I don’t know if he was justifying his actions or not.

I think it means a person can know himself/herself inner thoughts but other cannot unless you show it. I think it would include beliefs and values and feelings but not sure so much on motives. A different Scripture in Proverbs 21:2 suggest that people think their way is good.

I do have the Net Bible app. I’m not very familiar with the HCSB Bible .

Would the net Bible and dictionary be good for looking up specific words or phrases to know the original meaning? I haven’t read all but most of it

I am interested in 1 Corinthians 2:11 what is means if it means thoughts that we think only or if it includes things like inner beliefs and values and perhaps even motivation.

It seems there is a big part God does . Perhaps in leading one to repentance and giving the grace and ability to believe and receive the gospel. Ever breath of life comes from God so it would also appear that there is a grace given for people to turn to God.

I did see Revelation 2:10. It looked like their faith was being tested to me.
