Are you a monergist or a synergist?

I appreciate the apology, but not necessary. You haven't harmed or offended me. Grace and peace.

What is the age of accountability?

I'm not opposed, per se, to an age of accountability. Clearly there is a time in the development of children where they do exercise volitional morality when before they did not. I'm simply saying that that isn't the extent of what scripture has to say on the subject.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

I don't believe our thinking is far apart. You are able to follow nuances in discussions more than many and I have been enjoying going a little deeper in scripture than many discussions allow. I truly appreciate the discourse.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

Rejecting God is never obedience, but disobedience can serve God's purposes.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

You answered your own question earlier. Simply be obedient and deny yourself. Here, I'll show you how. I will simply stop replying to your posts. Now you. Grace and peace.

What is the age of accountability?

Yes, of course. I never denied this.

What is the age of accountability?

How does your reply relate to the imputation of sin?

What is the age of accountability?

The question isn't whether or not there were laws present before the Mosaic law, but whether or not sin was imputed. In Romans 5, and particularly in Romans 5:14, scripture teaches that while death occurs from the time of Adam to Moses, sin was not being imputed. Thus, something other than the...

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

No. It means you are disobedient and don't speak as one having authority.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

And yet, you don't seem able to obey.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

Again, I agree with what you say here. All true. But your reasoning for things working out as they did was God knowing how things would turn out. In other words, His foreknowledge. And I'm saying it's more than that. In other words, God didn't act in response to Elijah's response, but actively...

What is the age of accountability?

This answer conveniently avoids addressing the verse. I assent to what you claim. Any thoughts on Romans 5:14?

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

Sure, it can include lots of things. But relating the counsel of God's own will to the choices of men misses the point of the verse. The verse speaks of the activity of God apart from the activity of man, and even in spite of the activity of man. You seem to have God reacting to the activity...

How do we describe our "Conversion?"

I belong to a non-denominational church and have very little insight into ancient traditions. My beliefs would be more akin to those of the Reformation. As far as how God chooses, I believe He does so sovereignly, or as Ephesians 1:11 states...after the counsel of His own will.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

Of course. I just don't believe you are qualified to do so.

Are you a monergist or a synergist?

That's not exactly what I'm saying. I agree with both your 1st two sentences, but I do not equate the two. Foreknowledge is different than predestination. Can you read Ephesians 1:11 and tell me how you understand the phrase "Who works all things after the counsel of His own will"?

What is the age of accountability?

I would add to this, I should have cited Romans 5:18 to demonstrate the universal condemnation of mankind, and not John 3:18, although I believe it was adequate.

What is the age of accountability?

You are conflating 2 different things: person accountability for sin and entrance into the kingdom of God. These are two distinct issues. Let's say an child reached the age accountability, never sinned, and died. Would they need to be born again to go to heaven?
