Sometimes it's easy to be quick to jump to judgement without evening knowing the circumstances. That's why it pays to be quick to hear and slow to speak.

Sure, why not? Wasn't there a better way to approach it though? The person already feels like a goat. No need to beat them any further down with sarcasm and jokes. Shouldn't we help them to understand in a gentler fashion?
