Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Oh yeah..I know the one. Dunno if it was the case, but there are some, not all, orthodox Jews who then say Jesus is the Messiah, but actually don't say He is God and keep the orthodox ways. Seventh day Adventists can do the same kind of thing. Also 'Church of God'.

What if repentance is not about feeling guilty, regretful or ashamed? How do you define repentance?

I'm not saying you can live what ever you like after being converted. The Bible says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you have everlasting/eternal life. From this point the saved person has the Holy Spirit indwelling their soul. This means they will be spurred on/teached and rebuked to be...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

I don’t blame God for my sinning, don't know where you get that from. And I do submit to Him. Anyway..regarding the Revelation ..God spitting them out of His mouth. 1) This is about an entire local church situation, being admonished to over come lukewarmness. Not an individual believer on...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Of course it's not impossible to obey God! And it is God’s imputed righteousness that gets a believer to heaven, not their merit. They are sinless in His eyes, but still have the imperfect nature of a human. The flesh v the Spirit battle remains. But, we can overcome sin and confess sin. As to...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

Once believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer will work on them with the fruits of the Spirit. So, they have everlasting life as per John 3:36, 5:24, 6:40, 8:40, Romans 5:8, and also the teaching, correcting, grace etc.. of the Holy Spirit. OSAS doesn't mean...

What if repentance is not about feeling guilty, regretful or ashamed? How do you define repentance?

Repent means a 'change of mind, heart' At getting eternally saved, this is, led by God, a change of mind about who Jesus is. Not a change of behaviours. God repented of what He did with Israel.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

First step to obey the Father's will: John 6:40 KJV And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. This is the obedience at receiving salvation: to believe on Jesus Christ...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

If it possible for a believer to fall into unbelief, that doesn't mean i'm saying they SHOULD go wayward. Again, they would usually come out of continuing sin due to the Holy Spirit working on them. There will be fruit from a person being born again. This is not saying 'go and do whatever you...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

How is it all good to be convicted of your sin by the Holy Spirit? That is a very hard experience, and would be an ongoing wretched existence for a believer who kept getting caught in sin. They could get relationships ended by those they hurt, get kicked out from their church if they are a...

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

I think what this comes down to is what repent means. It is a 'change of mind, heart' about who Jesus is. Not a bunch of good works.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

All through the book of John..and in Romans.. has salvation as a free gift, not by works, through belief on Jesus Christ. That is eternal salvation... not temporary, not a hire purchase agreement..a promise, an anchor for the soul.

Shall we sin that grace may abound?

As said before.. someone who receives eternal life usually wouldn't continue in persistent sin. There will be fruit from the result of having the Holy Spirit in their spirit/soul. Shall we sin that grace may abound?

The conviction on the soul for a believer from the Holy Spirit is what I mean. There could also be discipline from being a church member with the process of discipline in Mathew 18. The point is, OSAS doesn't mean 'now do whatever you like'
