    To All the Leahs

I am a bit amazed by this thread. Jacob worked for Laban for seven years before his marriage to Leah. There is no way she is innocent of Laban's deception, she was a participant. She was part of the deception, not an innocent victim. Did she really just accidently sleep with Jacob on his...

    Revelation

I am curious why you want to study Revelations? I do NOT want to discourage you in any way but do have a caution from personal experience. One of the first books I chose for an in-depth study was Revelations and it was a big mistake for me. I did not have the knowledge base needed to even...

    My Dream

You speak a truth we don't often hear. Where we think He will take us and where He wants us to go is very different. It's a thrilling journey, not once and done. Great work.

    What makes a Christian a Christian ?

The problem I struggle with is how the world defines "Christian". Most will define it by association with a denominational church. For that reason I do not identify myself as Christian. I once answered Natzarim but that caused all sorts of problems. "Grafted In" doesn't work much better. I...

    Some thoughts on the Sabbath...

Do we understand the Sabbath was given by YHWH centuries before there was a tabernacle, a temple, a synagogue or a church. Corporate worship was in the home! That is where it still belongs.

    Some thoughts on the Sabbath...

Circumcision was never "out". It was not prohibited or even discouraged. Messianic Jews continued the practice or did not as they saw appropriate. It was eliminated as a requirement for gentiles participating in the Synagogue. Conflating circumcision with God's law is error. And please...

Some thoughts on the modern church....

Absolutely, but there were government attempts to buy votes worth charity long before the Great Depression.

    Some thoughts on the Sabbath...

Love your God with all your strength and all your heart and all your soul and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the summation of Torah. Everything else is preference. I have come to believe it is just that simple in spite of our best efforts.

    The Night Sky☄️

When I was a little boy we lived in Rural area. I would lay on by back in the grass amazed at the heavens. Occasionally a "shooting star" would flash by. Later I saw the heavens from a mountain top in remote Canada. Absolutely stunning. Now with modern towns and cities most people Will never...

Some thoughts on the modern church....

I The government should NEVER be a welfare institution. The moment that do the abuses you so accurately identify become inevitable.

    Froth and Bubble.

Do you think the church is only giving the crowd what they want, a watered down Christianity, lots of hope with minimal truth? I believe music's forte is drawing an emotional response. That's not wrong but is often a dead end. A kingdom won't stand on that.

    Some thoughts on the Sabbath...

Yes....beautifully said. I sometimes wonder why this is so difficult to understand. He said his followers would worship in "spirit and truth". Same commands, but now elevated to their fullest meaning. Do you wonder if it's so simple we sometimes can't see it?

    Classical religious poems

Maybe my all time favorite....and to think at one time this was used extensively in the American education to teach reading skills! "Halts me by that footfall."

    We're all different

Babylon doesn't know who you are and she doesn't care what you think. Only God knows the hairs on your head, and He does care. He made each one of us unique and different, and he calls us by our name. He also tells His children to, "...come out of her" We are not a number.

    Some Thoughts from the Garden

I agree. The translation of Genesis 3:3; "...must not touch it" is also rendered "...do not reach for it" in the original language. Touching can be accidental, reaching requires intent. The original prohibition was to not seek the knowledge of good and evil. They did anyway.
