    When was Jesus crucified?

The Fast of the First Born is obviously traced back to the exodus. But like most things religious it is never that simple. Some later Jewish groups tied this fast to a celebration of the salvation of the Jews from the plot of Haman. This is because Haman advanced his plot on the thirteenth of...

    When was Jesus crucified?

Below is an excellent article to help address the confusion between the “Last Supper” and the Passover Seder. In brief, the Galilean Jews (Jesus and his disciples) and the Judean Jews in Jerusalem did not keep the exact same schedule for Passover. The Galileans celebrated an earlier meal called...

Some thoughts on Heart, Soul, and Spirit

These words are sometimes a little confusing for me; it almost appears they are used interchangeably. Here is a little deeper look. Heart In Hebrew, the word for heart is "lev". In the First Testament it is considered the location of thought, will, and choices; it is our control...

Some thoughts on the modern church....

Great response. It's a complicated issue but I believe the church errored in allowing government to assume charity. Look up how Davie Crockett addressed this issue with a farmer who challenged him. I'll see if I can post a link.

    My testimony

Thank you for sharing your testimony. The first part reminds me of my nephew, he followed a similar same path. He was a beautiful person, well like and successful, but as life went on he became increasingly troubled. In the end he bought a case of booz, locked himself in his apartment and...

    Neighborhood Impact-Church based

It is not unchristian for the church to protect itself. That said, if the food has been donated to feed the needy, the church members should not be taking any for themselves unless they too are needy. Failing to meet basic food safety rules is foolish and dangerous.

Some thoughts on the modern church....

I’m curious, when Yeshuah returns for his bride, what will he think about the church? It is easy to be critical of the modern church; Lord knows I have taken a few shots at her myself. If we look at the church from a broad view we see something very confusing. Without question, the church has...

I agree. C. S. Lewis said we are not a body with a soul, we are a soul with a body. As you point out, there is a big difference.

    Some thoughts on the Sabbath...

We take slightly different paths but end up at the same place. As for Shabbat 250, the president encouraged us to, "...celebrate the contributions that Jewish Americans have made to our way of life, and honor their role in shaping the story of our Nation, and we remember that religious...
