Ephesians 2:8-9 Galatians 2:21 Romans 11:6 These all say that we're not saved by works. Romans 3:23 clearly states we're not good enough It's grace given to us by God that saves. But we may be getting somewhere.... John, as you say, states that we will see wrath if we don't obey God. He...

If you're referring to the other thread, I have replied. If not, then I don't know what you mean...

Ok... Doesn't God want us to obey Him? Yes Does that save us? No We're not good enough to save ourselves. Sin once and you're a sinner. Doesn't change the fact that He wants us to do good.

Amen. Keep God in the middle and He will work things out for your good. Don't move Him from the centre of your life, trust in Him and He will do His thing. May He also work on your family, providing the best outcome for them, leading them to Him and eternity, in Jesus' name, amen. Job searching...

You are both in my prayers. May God work on your brother through you to help Him see what he's doing and what it can lead to before these things happens to him, in Jesus' name, amen.... Trust in the Lord and He will work things out for your good. Don't give up on your brother. Each time you...

Excuse me?

Yes, God tells us to obey Him repeatedly and we are to do so as it's His will... We have also failed to achieve perfection, sinning on many occasions, which is precisely why Jesus came to offer Himself for us as the wage of sin is death. We're bought and paid for by His sacrifice. Salvation is...

Let's pray for us all to remain rooted in Christ and to find truth and delight in our Lord, in Jesus' name, amen. May this be a site and thread that blesses us all in our walks. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Psalms 37:3 Praise God!

I have read it and I read it. I have also developed a good understanding. Yes, Jesus was clear and we're saved by grace, displaying a faith that will flourish with works of the Spirit. Please don't just dismiss anyone who disagrees with you. We should pray for each other....

. Sorry if it wasn't clear... I'm referring to acts in general if we think that will see us saved. We're saved by grace

Galatians 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. As proof it's not enough to believe: James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well. The devils also believe — and...

Post #256 Let's edify each other instead

Yes, God wants us to love as He does and sacrifice many things that our old nature longs and lusts for. Also giving the first fruits to God, as you allude to. God loves this and demands it from us. This love will be seen beaming from us if we have faith in Him, a real, deep faith in who He is.

No need for that attitude; we're all having a conversation about God and what He's asked of us. I'd like to think praying for someone would come before insults and demeaning them. We are saved by Jesus and our faith in Him, and are saved for good works, not by them. I've also posted on how God...

Amen! Fantastic news and welcome....!

God has always wanted us to do good works. We do those works regularly in theory, but often fail through our nature, which is a sin. That makes us sinners, and the wage of sin is death... In the Old Testament that death was passed on to an animal that was sacrificed, then God, not liking the...

Welcome... You're in my prayers! May God bless you with wisdom and discernment in choosing your next path with studies and income. May He put the path in front of you for you to take it, move on greatly and not look back, in Jesus' name, amen. Praise God, trust in Him and He will make you shine...

Praying for you and your businesses. My suggestion would be a job that doesn't give you too much responsibility out of work so you can dedicate yourself to the businesses taking off. That way you're earning until you can safely leave the job with a successful business to live off. May God bring...

Praying for you and your parents. God will be with you throughout everything and you will come out stronger the other side. Also, may He soften your parents' hearts to be able to receive the word and Jesus into their lives and grow in Him, in Jesus' name, amen! The great God of miracles is with...
