Where do these two calls come from? The Bible says we are called, that's it. Then of the many called, few are chosen. I don't see any reason to believe we're puppets, we can choose God, not choose Him or even choose Him and then fall away, all of which are Biblically supported. (2 Chronicles...

So..... We can choose?

It's correct that we are called to God to be His people. He will call whom He pleases... We are then to out our faith in Jesus to abide with Him and be saved. Faith is not works and doesn't remove from His sacrifice in any way. We are to put our faith in Him (Mark 16:16) and not fall away...

You're in my prayers. May God shine on your family, opening hearts and showing Himself to be the all sufficient saviour, in Jesus' name, amen!

Ok... Keep cherry picking verses, ignoring the rest of the Bible so you can mold the word of God around your organized religion

Precisely... It says "God wants faith, not works" showing a clear distinction between the two...

Nice try but our comments are on here to be seen by all. That's the thing with the internet.... I quoted scripture, you said no. I said all scripture is true and you said I was the one saying no, which never happened. That means you lied. The Bible is true, all of it.... Even when it tells us...

Now you're just straight up lying. I've said the verses you put are true, quite simply because they are all true. The part where we differ is that I say that they are all true. Even the parts that say we need faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this...

He's still in my prayers, as are you and your daughter. May God bless you all greatly, showing Himself and opening hearts to Him and His ways. Keep praying, sister Carmen, we will too. Where two or more gather in His name, that's where He is. Praise God!

It's the word of God and your response is "No." All scripture is true, not only the parts we may like or that agree with what we want to be true

I said the verses you posted are true, which they are. Then I said God called us, which He did. I then said that we are required to put our faith in Jesus and I put the Bible verses that state this to be true. I'm not adding a requirement, I'm repeating the word of God, which you have decided is...

Again, the verses you put are true. God called us and had it planned from the beginning, but it's also true that we are required to put our faith in Jesus. That's not taking away from His sacrifice; nobody can save themself just by following the law. We're saved by Jesus. Our role is to believe...

Yep. We're required to put our faith in our Lord Jesus. Anchorite beat me to the comment with the verses seen above...

True, we are predestined and called by God to be His people. We must, however call on the Lord, putting our faith in Jesus to be saved, which is a choice offered by His sacrifice. We also know that many are called but few are chosen, showing many don't make that call on the Lord, fall away or...

God is stronger and is with you throughout... You're in our prayers. In Jesus' name, may this spirit have nothing from you and be driven out

With salvation people are called and man can choose to answer and put his faith in Jesus. It's not man initiated....

Can't we just follow the Bible without having to put names and labels on everything? Human organisation of God's word really confuses matters

Count on my prayers too, Jacko. May God bless you with strength, wisdom and progress in your work and personal life. May He work everything out, making things simpler if necessary. Be very blessed and protected by our wonderful Lord...

Praise God!
