    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

the Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek. it's an absurd logical fallacy to argue that because one translation was wrong, all wrong translations are right.

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

easter isn't "translated" from Pascha. it is substituted. it is found in the wessex translations because, as Bede clearly put, it was the pre-existing name of the season among the pagans there during which Pascha takes place. easter has zero linguistic relationship to Pascha.

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

25: by saying that easter can only refer to Pascha after Christ's resurrection, his conclusion is essentially that none of the evidence he presented supports his conclusion, and that the Greek of Luke is incorrect. this is so much BS it is really no wonder, hearing the end of his brief talk...

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

24ish, he says the morning star is the sun - - patently false. the day star is what we call the planet Venus. 5 minutes of research would prove this out. as i concluded just a few minutes prior, i would never, ever consider hearing this man teach again. his conclusion is that Luke was wrong...

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

at 19:00 he argues that because Luther ((a notorious antisemite)) replaced Pascha with Oster, even saying Osterlamb instead of Pascal Lamb, Easter means the same thing as Pascha. 10 seconds later, showing that Tyndale followed the relatively recent German tradition, he admits Osterlamb is...

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

the pastor begins by admitting he preached "for years and years and years" an excuse for the word Easter that 5 minutes worth of research into what the Bible says would have immediately destroyed. then at 11:15 he mocks how anyone could know how ancient Assyrian was pronounced. so, i did 5...

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

i hope you don't think by me stating some historical facts about today doesn't mean you think i am saying that we should not celebrate His resurrection. far from it we should not be ignorant, nor should we prop up our traditions with lies. i think it's good that we know the Truth - He rose on...

    Easter: Pagan or Christian?

the first uses of Eostare are in 13th-14th century Germanic Bibles ((modern German: Östern)), long before any English translation existed. even earlier Germanic Bibles use Pascha - the change to a new word related to teutonic dawn goddess Eos came about when there was a great deal of...

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ETERNAL LIFE ACCORDING TO JESUS

i've demonstrated that it's not necessary for one of the parties in a covenant to agree to do anything. God made promises to the whole earth, to Abraham, to Israel, and to us, and called them a covenant with all flesh, with Abraham, with Israel, and with us. a covenant is a promise - there...

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ETERNAL LIFE ACCORDING TO JESUS

and that covenant is with you, even though your part in it it did not require works. look at Genesis 9:8-17, God made a covenant with every living thing on earth, but what was required of every living thing on earth? nothing. God alone plays an active role, the whole earth receives the...
