Advice Needed: Should I get involved?

Thanks! I've never met her so, I can't encourage her, but I do wish she would turn up to church more often. It just seems like we keep missing each other. If I'm sick, she finally chooses that day to come lol. I just don't want Bill marrying Sara just because he's lonely and wants someone and...

    Who is the restrainer?

I'm not a rapture believer, as I believe the scripture that is used to point to it is actually 2nd coming, not "rapture" related. So with that in mind: I believe the "restrainer" is Jesus. Think about the context and the grammar used in 2 Thessalonians 2. The verse says "he" who is...

    False Teachers

6th- People can genuinely believe something false and preach that falseness. Still makes them a false preacher, even with good intentions/motives. Sometimes a false teacher isn't evil, they're just wrong.

Advice Needed: Should I get involved?

I want to start out by saying I haven't been in a group/social settings for decades. My spouse has isolated me over the years and previous to that, I constantly was moving, so I don't even know what the protocol for this is. So in church, there is a man (I'll name him Bill) who is currently...

In An Emergency Medical Situation, To What Extent Would God Want Us to Go to Extend Someone's Life?

I think my answer is pretty simple, God gave us the knowledge about medicine, so I don't see anything wrong with resuscitation. However, I think discernment is always needed here. Like, keeping someone on life support without brain activity, I think is a pretty poor decision to make. So I think...

A plea to return to scripture.

Absolutely! There will come a day when all truth about scripture will be revealed and there won't be any disagreements anymore on it. Until that day, we learn, we study, we ask God for understanding and we just do the best we can. For the people who are proud, well... let them do them then...

A plea to return to scripture.

To address the OP, there are various reasons for such a mix-match of agreement/disagreement with scripture and the majority of it doesn't come down to lack of scripture itself. The majority problem, in my opinion, is people are taught scripture instead of understanding it. People go to schools...

A plea to return to scripture.

It's simple. You can either take the answer it spits back out at you which is the widely accepted answer which can be wrong, or you can do scripture study yourself. Anyone who uses AI to tell them what scripture is saying, or what something means, is going to go down a very dark road. Also...

A plea to return to scripture.

Let me help you, he admitted to using AI to curate his responses because he claims he needs the help and cannot communicate without it.

A plea to return to scripture.

You have an extremely high opinion of AI if you think that everything it comes up with is fact checked truth. All it does, is scan the internet for the highest used answer and then repeats that back to you. It's literally a glorified google search. So if you're using it for logic or scripture...

Then bring it on in regular responses, don't use AI.

A plea to return to scripture.

To an extent, sure. But I have a hard time thinking someone has a cognitive challenge or disability who is debating symbolism or Greek/Hebrew context/grammar with me.

A plea to return to scripture.

I can't stand when people respond with an AI response. It gives me the personal idea that their thoughts aren't their own and are just getting answers from an AI instead. I'd prefer messed up spelling, grammar and sentence structure than perfectly curated AI responses.

    Christian Marriage

I was married twice before I gave my life to Christ. First time I married in 2008 and wasn't required to get a blood test. Maybe it's because of the state you lived in. 🤷‍♀️

    Christian Marriage

Don't leave out the beginning of Matthew 19 in verse 6 "Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” If you want to leave out parts of scripture, that's up to you... be single forever, all I'm saying is you're incorrect.

    Christian Marriage

You misunderstand the idea about divorce. You aren't committing adultery with someone just because they're divorced. It's only adultery if GOD brought that union together, and then they separate, then you marry them. The vast majority of marriages are NOT God brought. David and Bathsheba, Samson...
