didn't say it was, just saying they were not atoning for sin, look at the context.

he was saved before he built the ark, justified by faith. IMO works mentality people can't read, or are severely lacking in simple comprehension of the written work of the bible.

he brought God what he had... he was a Shepard... him bringing a kid doesnt say anything about sin, and im sure if it was God would have said something in the scripture. if anything this was more of a tithe.

except they were not offering sacrifices for sin... and the context showed that God just didn't consider or look to Cains. its not what it was but how it was brought.

thats kinda funny, but Noah didn't work for salvation. he was saved the moment God saw him, spoke to him, and he accepted the word that came to him. what he did after that was just his call.

ok, but if Cain had a massive crop as his sacrifice, and able only had a little grain, and they both gave all able would have still been the faithful one right?

idk why people don't get, cain could have offered his whole crop, and able his smallest lamb and it still would have been the same. it was their heart God saw, not the offering...

Is using contraceptives a sin against God?

so any family practicing natural family planning is also sinning because they are working around gods intended purpose. heck we should go as far as saying any sex outside of marriage not trying to conceive a child is sin.

    Not By Works

except our circumcision is no longer of the flesh but of the spirit. the proof of our faith is in our heart. if our heart is inclined to God our spirit produces the fruit of works.

    Baptism and holy spirit

to try and use cor 13 as proof of the end of the gifts of the spirit, any of them is taking that entire chapter out of context....

so no mute person can ever be saved.... lol you are silly. the belief starts the process, it is you acceptance of Jesus as Lord that finishes your salvation. NO WORK can save, or even aide the process.

    Not By Works

quenching is rendered in most study as suppressing, not completely putting out. the other you mentioned is only possible with blasphemy of the HS, and that is questionable if it is even possible today. works... are... not... your... own... they are the byproduct of the HOLY SPIRIT in you....

right, idk where people get the idea that it is a physical work that aides in salvation, or retaining it. its always been a matter of the heart.

Abraham was justified by the "works" of his heart and soul, that was his belief that what god had said was true. the morning he woke up to take Issac the goat for the sacrifice could have been right outside his tent, the only reason he had to play out the whole scenario was for ours and the...
