    What's on the other side?

Amen, none of it matters other than the Lord being there.

How to get closer to God?

I'm so sorry for the tragedy you're going through. Thanks so much, and I'll pray for you as well. I pray that both of us cling to the Lord no matter what. We're living by faith, which is what he wants for us. I think that's why he allows us to feel abandoned at times, though he's near. I'm...

How to get closer to God?

I understand, and if it makes you feel any better, I'm going through the same thing as you are. I read the Bible, pray, and listen to sermons for several hours each day, but I can't feel closer to God. It's frustrating. I pray we both get to feel closer to him.

    Which World, Christian?

Exactly! World peace, social justice, abortion prevention, etc. are distractions from what we should really be doing. I always wonder about one of my favorite ministries focusing on abortion prevention. Awesome post!

    A Worthy Reminder

"Surely he has born our griefs and carried our sorrows." "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. Upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53)

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

I wish I liked strawberry ice cream. It's much more simple. I'm weird, in that I don't like c I do feel sorry for cows. They don't live pleasant lives, and they're such innocent animals. And so true! We need meat and not milk, spiritually speaking.

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

Hi, Cherie, it usually has to be something with peanut butter or peanut butter cups, so moose tracks or fudge tracks. It's not that I love it much, Lol. It's just something sort of appetizing. What is your favorite?

Does God change our hearts before or after salvation?

Rosemaryx, thank you! I love those old audiobooks. I just found Aneko Press. I'll look for that sermon and look forward to it. I listen to the channel, Christian Audiobooks and Sermons. No one preaches like them anymore. Their sermons and audiobooks are so amazing. I'm sure it's similar...

Does God change our hearts before or after salvation?

Deut, thank you! Reading this gave me goosebumps. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and knowledge of God's word. That's been the most difficult part of being a Christian, the on and off torment of wondering about being saved or not. I've been listening to the old Christians like Andrew Murray...

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

This is hilarious! You and your kit-kat bars! 😂 I switch brands, depending on what's available. I like Bunny tracks and Walmart has their own brand of fudge tracks that is very dark chocolate. I like it just fine. Tillamook Mudslide is good.

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

Oh, this is so funny! Thanks for the laugh/smiles. I love it! We used to take our dogs to McDonald's for ice cream cones. But gallons? That is too funny. Those dogs are lucky!

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

seoulsearch, thank you! What you said makes a lot of sense. I have to laugh at the idea of a head of lettuce being a "yummy snack." Never would that happen to me either. 😂🤣 Thanks for telling me about the girl with anorexia. I do struggle with it, but only the loss of appetite. I'm not...

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

Thank you, Lynx! Wow, good points and interesting! And no, I'm not Rees Howells. I'll try to remember that. 😂

Does God change our hearts before or after salvation?

Thank you, Deut, for taking the time and thought to write all that. It's truly encouraging. I'm assuming they were rhetorical questions, so I won't bore you with the answers. But I did not treat my neighbors nicely before coming to Christ. I bombed them with a lot of curse words, sadly...

Is an ice cream habit a sin?

It's the "deny yourself" words of the Lord that keep going through my head. I don't know how much I'm supposed to deny myself. I read Rees Howells Intercessor when I first came to Christ. In the book, the Holy Spirit wanted him to live on boring food, soup and bread and no more than two...
