    I now trust the bible . Before I couldn't really say I trusted any English Translation. I thought I had to learn Hebrew and Greek to REALLY understand the bible.

    My point is that I used to hold to your position . So i was looking for the modern transja I won't convince you . I was only convinced by the bible study I had . Maybe that would convince you the same ?

    I've spent the majority of my years as a Christian believing the KjV was in error compared to the modern translations . So actually its quite the turn a round ,for me .

    No , we literally Just simply had a bible study . The translation issue wasn't on our minds at all at the start . The focus was a bible study . But it was a great opportunity to compare the difference.

    I used to agree with most of what you said . Until i started a small bible study group . Its been on going now for over 2 years . We all have different translations . I never used to think the Kjv was the the best translation we have ,until this bible study ( half way through ) . I was shocked...

    I agree . I do think people are ' knocked ' by systematic theology ,when they would have been better off simply reading the bible .

    Yes Jesus said to the apostles / disciples that the Holy Spirit would do that for them . To bring it to their rememberence .Then we read what the Holy Spirit reminded them . This could be an example to my point .

    This seems to be the issue with many 'differences ' . What method are we using ? This is key . Are we seeing even basic reading comprehension fly out the window and 'mystical ' ethereal ' , approaches being adopted instead ? which is the best approach ,and why ? Thoughts?
