The "God told me to tell you" Phenomenon

I only trust God's Holy Spirit and what the Father and Son reveals to me from the KJV of the Bible. Should I trust what men say? When the revelations I get is congruous with all scripture, then I have no choice but to think of it as truth and to reveal it as God's truth, not mine.

The "God told me to tell you" Phenomenon

I would just like to remind everyone of the Samaritan woman at the well who asked Jesus if they should worship at the temple in Jerusalem or at Jacobs' well. Jesus replied that there will come a time where they will worship at neither, but in spirit and in truth. Of course, I advocate a place...

The "God told me to tell you" Phenomenon

The Bible is the inspired word of God written for and by each generation and to be interpreted and understood by such as experience and knowledge of the times allow. The false prophets are those that think that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are taking a break from the lifes of humans in each...

    Understanding God’s election

Rom 9: 14-16 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For He saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then, it is NOT of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that...

    Understanding God’s election

Cornelius and family were already baptized during Peter's preaching because they received the Holy Spirit before Peter suggested water baptism. Peter was a Jewish Christian who still followed the Jewish tradition of getting spiritually cleansed by water baptism. John the baptist said that he...

    Understanding God’s election

Hi Everlasting- Grace. You've posted a lot of truths in this post. "no flesh shall boast in heaven" means that no one will say, " I made the right choice, or I chose to believe the right things about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God does it all, and anyone who chooses to believe that they...

    Understanding God’s election

How about, 3. Because of Adam and Eve's sin, we are all born with a conscience and all are born under the law because we have the knowledge of what is good and what is evil. No one is worthy because we all sin. What makes us sin is our motivation for living which is love of self above God and...

    Understanding God’s election

Jesus explained to Nicodemus that a man has to be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. Being born again means that you are in a different state of being. John 1: 13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God. When Christ baptizes you...

    Understanding God’s election

Grace is a state of being. Once God grants it, you have it and are in that state of being. It starts with that state of being called repentance. This leads you to the state of being called belief (faith), and then to the state of being called love for God first, and all others as we love...

Please help me to respond to some of my non-trinitarian friends

My friend refers us to Gal 4: 14 where Paul refers to Christ as an angel. Gal 4: 14 And my trial, which was in my flesh, ye despised not, nor rejected, but received me as an angel of God, even (that is) as Christ Jesus.

Please help me to respond to some of my non-trinitarian friends

Our understanding is somewhat similar. In my understanding, the Father is the always existing Almighty God of all realities. In our reality the Father places a living, thinking, feeling being in it and calls him His Son. The Father interacts with our reality through His Holy Spirit which in...

    Understanding God’s election

Dougcho posted: Man is doubly incapable of believing in Jesus and the Gospel 1 – Because of the disobedience (sin) of Adam and Eve, all humans are born with an inherited sin nature, and are bent on sinning instead of following God (Romans 3:9-18). Having a saving faith is against their very...

The word of God is not a secret code that needs unlocked.

What most everyone is not understanding is that the KJV is sufficient to relay God's main messages, which can only be understood by those selected by the Father to receive His Holy Spirit. With the KJV, scripture fits together nicely so that the message is clear and consistent and easy to work...

The Kerygma - God's Requirement for Salvation

John 1: 13 Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. This clearly states that it is God who chooses, not man. The Father chooses to save all to whom He grants repentance, not to those who choose to repent on their own. Born again people are...

    Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit

Isaiah 63: 9-10 tells us that His Holy Spirit is the "angel of His presence". He is refered to as an angel because he can be sent. Where the Holy Spirit is, the Father is there. The Almighty God has always existed, is everywhere, can do anything He wants, is all powerful, knows what you are...

The word of God is not a secret code that needs unlocked.

I believe that the KJV is a word for word interpretation of the original Greek translation. Most of the other bible translations are interpretations of what the translator thinks that the words are meaning. I'll take the KJV over those.

    What Changed?

It's not whether or not humans are totally depraved. We can be good, just not good enough.
