There are winter gardens in many places. Here in the UK, there are winter gardens in Blackpool, Morecombe, Bournemouth, Margate, and I am sure many others. Just out of interest, which winter gardens are you visiting?

Auckland, NZ

It's the only Wintergarden I know of, even though Auckland's winter is very mild! It should be Christchurch or Dunedin that as a Wintergarden, but they don't really.

Although having said that, we had a few frosts recently, and that killed some of my juicier plants.

Wot? Blackpool Wintergardens is not a garden!?

Chinese Friendship Garden in Sydney was amazing, I would recommend visiting.

The one in Dunedin is wonderful too.

Of course you can always go to the real thing in China, just as you can go to an English country garden in England. But it's the fashion to recreate gardens from your homeland in other lands...to remind yourself of home. Just as the Babylonians did with those Hanging Gardens.

And of course the Oasis in the desert have their Paradise gardens. Which recreate the Garden of Eden, or try to. The water features especially.
