My thread so we can derail it. lol I'm mainly a dog but also have had some cats. I had a Siberian Husky when I was little. She was beautiful with those blue eyes, but she wouldn't stop getting into the porcupines and we had to give her to someone who lived closer to town. When I got married I had an American Eskimo, who was neither, I'm sure you'd know they are German Spitz. I found him a girlfriend and kept one of the puppies. So two Eskies. They both passed and that was hard because they are dogs with such personalities of their own. I read somewhere that it was said God made them so cute so you wouldn't kill them. lol Lots of white hair everywhere. Really good dogs and my nephews loved the girl dog.
Fast forward and I got a German Shepard. Hubby is a big guy and when I said I wanted a female he said he wanted a dog that looked like a Shepard, not a small girl dog. Boy did he get his wish. She's a working breed, found that out the hard way, and huge. She stands as tall as a tall male, I measured her, and she rings in right now at 110 pounds. She was fun to train. I didn't have a pair of clothes that wasn't torn up and ended up with a chipped tooth. But we had a come to Jesus and she understood who was boss. Now we're just two lazy old girls. rofl. Fish, that's another story for another day, but it did not end well.
