John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
This verse was a promise from Jesus to Christians. We do not always need to rely on our own ability. The Spirit will bring things to our rememberance if we walk in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will bring Scriptures we have read to our rememberance. I believe this verse is for every Christian; I don't believe it was only for a few. The Holy Spirit can give us a thought or a reminder. If we are living in the Spirit let us walk in the Spirit. We should have faith in this verse because the Comforter, the Holy Spirit is in us.
