Two of my very gpod friends have been at odds with each otter fir the past year. One is young, 25, and the other is 40 yr old mother of 4. Both are worship leaders at my church and we all used to sing and play together frequently. Both women were in my wedding. The older of the two was having marital problems about a year ago. When I had a birthday party in October is when I found out there was an issue between the two. It had already been going on for 9 months. The younger was asked to step down though she wouldn't say why and she did it very quietly. Today was the first time she's been allowed to do worship with us in a yr.
I found out today that my younger friend had an affair with my older friends husband. Needless to say, but I'm a bit shocked. I feel for both friends. My young friend has had issues with fidelity before and I know this brings up a lot of shame for her. I really do understand that kind of brokeness, not that ive ever been faithful, but in other ways I've struggled with the same issues. As for my other friend, I feel for her and her family. She is such a strong woman and I've seen her push through. It's so sad. I just want to cry with both of them. Both have been working through he issues separately, meeting with pastors, and despite their shame have continued to pursue the Lord wholeheartedly. It really is a testimony of Gods grace.
But regardless, this is a difficult season of life for them and they need prayer.
