We can serve God in so many ways by giving of our time and money in helping others. God wants us to do it in love and not out of necessity and obligation. When we do it with a cheerful heart and never expecting any thing in return. What a blessing it it to God.

2 Corinthians 9:7
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

yep i think its better not to give at all if you do it out of compulsion or with bitterness in your heart.

It tells us God looks beyond the act into the heart of a person. :)
