I'm asking you, personally, to help me reach out to my broken community so that I can try, no, so that I CAN bring them back to God.
Over the years my community was strong and we all got along. However, fairly recently, some disputes arose (over money, go figure) and my community separated. Nobody talks to anyone anymore, they don't even say HI anymore!
So I'm asking you to do a few simple things for me.
I told the Board of Directors that we can get over this problem. (as you can imagine, the board is divided and like the community, NOTHING is getting done)
I told them that if OTHER people, people I've never met before, can see what I am trying to accomplish then YOU have to see it also.
And what do you think happened? They laughed. HOW'S that going to change ANYTHING?! Well, the bible says in Luke 6:38,
"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you."
So I'm asking you to do 3 simple steps to get my community back on track.
1) I want you to go to our website @ http://mylordlives.com and look on the right hand corner. There will be a small box that says "Subscribe to MyLordLives" All you have to do is just put in your e-mail and every 3 days you will get an inspiring message of hope. One that I hope I can bring back to my community.
2) I want you to go to our Facebook fan-page and Like it. The link is: http://www.facebook.com/MyLordLivesMin I am starting to make an impact because my goal was to get to only 100 likes, and at 175 I demolished it. And WE need to go higher! To PROVE to my community that I am serious and that GOD WILL, IN THE END, WIN!
3) I want you to just say a simple prayer for my community. Be it 5 seconds or 5 minutes. My community is in dire need of God's strength and your prayer will ONLY help to aid me in my mission to improve my community.
Though it seems like a lot the whole process takes only a small fraction of your time. So won't you help me?
Please understand that WE NEED THIS! God NEEDS to be present in my community again.
