2 Corinthians 3:2-3
(2) Ye are our epistle (letter) written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
(3) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle (letter) of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

This says we are to be the letter of Christ to the world written on the heart.

Hebrews 8:10
(10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

God wants to write His Law in our hearts. His Law is to be written on our hearts and lived out in the life and by God doing this we are to become the letter of Christ to the world.

The Corinthian believers had the Law of Christ written on their hearts and it was lived out in the life. We cannot be a letter of Christ to the world while living a life of sin.
