Matthew 4:16
English Standard Version

16 the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light,
and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them, a light has dawned.

Isaiah 9:2
English Standard Version

2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.

The darkness still covers the land for all who love the works of the shadows grow corrupt. The individual then becomes entrapped to the fleshly desires and the captivation of the world.

The great light like a beacon has been established like a city on a hill whose light can be seen at night from miles around. This beacon came forth in Jerusalem but like the Olympic torch relay (a ceremonial relaying of the Olympic flame from Olympia, Greece, to the site of an Olympic Games) the light has been carried forth to the ends of the Earth.

The eternal flame has been passed on from the original disciples to millions of converts around the world.

The dawn, new birth, a new way had entered the history of humanity. This dawn being roughly 2023 years ago leaves us knowing for every dawn there comes an evening and for every evening we anticipate a new day.

God rested on the 7th day of creation. A day to God but for humans it has lasted 6 to 10,000 years. Mankind is the last of His created beings. An 8th day is promised when God will create once more bringing in the New Heaven, Earth, and Jerusalem.

Wake up for the time is nigh. Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has come. For the shadows that once fled to the West now flee to the East. The sunrise now leads to a sunset. A setting that ends with the Sun and the night as God's ever-present light becomes an eternal beacon of victory, peace, love, and the fulfillment of faith and hope.
