A Moment In Time

When evening shadows descend,
And twilight kisses our cheeks
And watches the sun go down,
There is a special place in a loving mind.
The day is done, work is over,
Dreams of tomorrow not yet appearing.
Quiet moments, pensive moments,
Moments of lasting sweet understanding.
A gentle time, a loving time,
Time for all the birds to hush for the night.
Except for nighingales, wherever they are,
Kissing the day goodbye with their sweet song.
And I look at you my Friend
A time to think, there is no place,
In life or time, I'd rather be.
