A list of things inside my heart...fond memories I keep.

Raindrops falling on my roof...just as I drift to sleep.

God's stars that shimmer high above....dance in the summers night.

The brilliance of a sunset....the warmth within its light.

When autumn leaves fall to the ground...before the coming snow.

A place beside the fire....while outside cold winds would blow.

When we were all together...gathered round the Christmas tree.

Each smile there, on every face...my heart can always see

With our family close together...in a house built just too small.

The moments, treasured memories.....my heart still lives them all.

the time we take for granted...with loved ones who've passed away.

As tears fall for our broken hearts......if only they could stay.

The glory of my saviors face....someday my eyes will see.

These things are locked inside my heart....each one a part of me.

I like this. Paints a visual image...especially the stars dancing in the summer's night. Clever use of metaphors.
