First a praise report. My best friend, my musical soulmate, left for Las Vegas for a bachelorette party yesterday. She drove her moms SUV because so many people were coming. In the middle of the desert the tire blew and the vehicle rolled multiple times. All the girls were safe and left with only minor cuts.

Building relationships with women has always been difficult for me, but I am willing to do it. Recently my normal group of friends has been going a different direction and they're hard to connect with. The problem is there are almost no women in my church that are near my age and in a similar station in life. I was the girl who spend recess in the classroom talking to the teacher since they were more interesting than my peers. My pastor keeps pushing me to go to the college group but when I do I feel like their mother. I graduated 7 yrs ago. I don't mind it for ministry but I do not get fed. So I prayed and thought of two women to speak to. So far one has agreed to hang out. The other has been sick.
 
Glad to hear it Jordache! God is being a blessing and providing for you in incredibly ways. I read your previous posts in regards to sadness and I can relate to the sadness, although mine seems to be less infrequent and sporadic. Whenever I do feel sad however I always open the Word of God and ask for guidance and usually a verse or two will speak to me. I have learned to memorize these scriptures so that whenever I am sad or feeling a dark cloud looming I recite them in my head over and over again and it reassures me of God's presence in my life and the cloud does not envelop my life.


The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2


When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Psalm 34:17-20
