Regarding if one likes the new leader of the USA government or not, we need to pray for them that they will hear from the Lord, or at least know within them when they have important decisions to take so they take the right decision.
Imagine you were given the position of being the leader of your country. Its all good saying you would do this and that, but realise that every decision you make will effect someone somewhere both in a good way and a bad way, and the reality does set in how much one really needs Gods help!
So pray for your leader the people have chosen. You don't know it, but it could be the very person God has chosen to carry out His will. God raises and lowers nations. Before we were born God already knew who would be given the position at any one time in history and in the future.
Some leaders do good in His sight. Some do not. We are not them so we need to pray that God will lead them down His straight paths as each of our leaders and their group of staff to assist them is vulnerable to the enemy if they do not have Gods guiding hand. If you think your leader needs God, then pray.

What a load of bunk. No one forces a person to be leader of a Country not even God. It is a personal choice whether to
run for office or not and anyone who does should know full well what the role entails before considering doing it. As for trumps popularity. By all accounts Clinton won the popular vote. Something like that happened in our 2015 election where UKIP got four million votes and only one MP instead of around 55 which they would have under proportional representation. I will be interested to see whether God chooses a Marxist and an alleged IRA supporter to run the UK
on the 8th of June.

I think a lot of view spent decades emotionally invested and deceived by the election process, so to consider your vote was never counted and it was all predetermined treads on your pride and we just can't consider these kinds of things.
