How did you know you have found the one? What were the signs that tipped you off?

Also how old were you when you met the person you are with now?

Also did you live in the same area as the person your with or did you meet on vacation or online?

Why did you post a question for married people in the singles forum?

Also, if by 'the one' you mean like a soul mate, that concept is not real. There is no person created for another. That is founded in pagan beliefs, not the bible.

I posted here because I am single and am not really sure how to find someone and I am sure married people look in the single forum to help guide others for various reasons it just made since in the moment. God already knows who we are going to end up with so he could lead us to them and therefore she would be the one. I know it's not like he crafted someone just for my benefit though I know we are not made completely for our partners sake but I am sure it could be an intention of his. Though in Adams case Eve was crafted for Adam sake lol so it's not like it never happens anything is possible. It's all very confusing my dad wasn't able to explain it to me I am hoping someone else might be able to.

I'm not married now, but I was very happily married for 15 years.

I had just turned 18 years old and I met him at a skating rink in my hometown. He was in the military there. I knew because everyone else seemed invisible to me, I wanted to learn everything about him, I wanted to share everything with him, could not have imagined myself with anyone else, and he felt exactly the same way. None of that changed until the day he died.

I am sorry for your loss :( That's nice that you had such a strong connection to him though. Hold on to the good memories you have shared. My mom said basically the same thing about when she met my dad although my father has never explained to me what it was like for him meeting my mother though I am not sure I asked him in that manner.

They met at Walmart in Georgia and my mom was from here and as the story goes my dad was really shy and didn't talk to anyone but when he met my mother for the first time he talked to her and his aunt got my moms phone number for him lol but my mom didn't have a phone at the time so she gave him her neighbors phone number and they talked that way lol.

That's a cool thing to know about your parents. Sounds as if your mother brought out amazing parts of him he never knew before. :)

I've never been married and have wondered the same thing. I recently read a book and the author had wondered the same question before he was married? He said when he had been friends with her for a while he talked with her father about their friendship and one of the things her father said was "I knew that the relationship was from GOD because ever since you have known her she has grown closer to GOD". I think that is a pretty good indicator, at least that's what I want my friendship with my wife to produce.
