Im 26 and im addicted to porn. I really want to stop but
Im finding a hard time stopping can anyone help me?
 
the closer you get to GOD through prayer, bible reading, and doing HIS will, the further you get away from that sin.
you can renounce it, be prayed for deliverance on it, but if you dont show self effort in seeking GOD and shunning away from ALL porn sources, EVEN putting softwares that block that thing in your pc, and even destroying the cds, the tapes, deleting the videos etc. you will fall back into the sin.

All things through christ that strengthen me..Any bible verses u recommend?
 
Chossen Im going to tell you what you need to hear. It is impossible to do it apart from Christ. Lay down any attempt to try and quit. Run to Christ and he will take it away from you. The best thing to do my friend is pursue Christ not freedom. In Christ comes freedom. We don't need to try and manage sin, such as " i want to quit this and that" Christ will change us and continue doing that. There is nothing We can do apart from him. Christ is all we need. He will take it from you if you trust him to do it.
 
Well, chossen, know that with the power of God working through you you have the power to overcome any temptation. I've had my own issues with porn also, and I know that's its true of many of us: when you get in the place of battle truth is your best weapon. Declare that your God is bigger than your temptation. Figure out what the real need is. Perhaps it's simply sexual desire. But it's likely at times to be much more. Ever heard of HALT Hungry Angry Lonely Tired. These are SOME of the times when we are most suceptible to sin. We let go of self-control because our true need is disguised by what we deem just a natural function.
