People often ask, "How can a good God send
people to hell?" The thing is, God doesn't SEND
anyone to hell. What God did is He gave us a way
OUT of going to hell. The sin in our hearts and
the denial of Jesus Christ's death in our place,
denying His resurrection with all power in His
hands, and denying His lordship in our lives,
sends people to hell. By rejecting Christ and
choosing sin and service to our flesh and satan as
our master, we choose hell. It is only right that
we spend eternity with the one we devoted our
lives to, since we saw fit to serve him in this life.
No, it is our CHOICE where we spend eternity. Sin
automatically gives us a one way ticket to hell.
GOD gave us a way OUT! The gospel is the GOOD
NEWS of Jesus Christ! It's not about hell, although
hell is real. It's about JESUS and how much He
loved us. He loved us enough that while we were
still sinners...doing it up in the club and between
the sheets and turning up the bottle and
absorbing as much debauchery as we could
stand...HE LOVED US. God gave His only Son that
we might have a chance to spend eternity with
HIM. That is GOOD news from a GOOD God. How
can a good God send people to Hell? He doesn't.
A good God offers salvation FROM it! Amen!

Someone commented:
Despite Hell being suffering and pain, wailing and
gnashing of teeth, it is the worst place to be as
God is absent, entirely. Not even a trace. Who
would want to be away from God for eternity? I
can only pray for people every day and be a good
example that they'll come to know the unending
goodness and love of God and get to spend
eternity with Him instead of without Him.

I just thought this was all so well said and I wanted to share.

You said God doesn't send anyone to Hell however that is false. I understand your probably trying to defend the character of God but consider what the Bible actually says rather than one's personal opinion. Matthew 25:41 Jesus judges the "goats" and says "Depart from Me, you cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels", also in Revelation 20:15 God "cast" unbelievers into the lake of fire.
 
Okay, that's true. Thanks for the clarification. I still don't think God is vile, so I just like the spin of everything being positive and full of hope rather than believing that God's primary goal is to throw people in hell.
