IMHO this is related to a prophecy in the bible:

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

I believe this list is talking of 'Christians'. It's the times we're living in. The last days.

It's good that the lady left her property to you, it surely meant a lot to her knowing that there was someone she could safely leave it to. God Bless You (y)
a teaching posting! yes, the last days! thank you. every time she needed something, i was there for her always. Tuesday, i have to shop for her groceries, take her for her eye exam, then the bank. & James 1:27- "pure religion & undefiled before God & the Father is this: that you visit the fatherless & the widows in their afflictions & to keep himself unspotted from the world".

Yea the disobedient to parents kind of gets me about those adult children who don't bother to care for their parents in old age.

How many children did your widow have, and what was their excuse for not caring for her?
