Anger Passes By


Swirling thoughts and sad emotions,
Strongest passions running through,
Torments of a stormy ocean,
The kindest thoughts it can subdue.

Reflect the moment anger enters,
Caring gone to who knows where,
Raging thoughts as passions bluster,
Your very soul it does ensnare.

Rising up within a moment,
Clashing forth like winter storm,
Primal urges once lain dormant,
Placid angels it does transform.

Flashing, writhing, shouting, screaming,
Temple pulsing, focused glare,
Heart beat racing, fingers scrunching,
Body ready and tempers flare.

Flashing moment now abating,
Passions calming as peace ensues,
Stormy oceans now are waning,
As conscious mind its thought reviews.

Sober moments, quietening voices,
Rational thoughts and sunlit sky,
Gentle raindrops, better choices,
As that anger passes by
