Therapy can be expensive, and require time and money, but it can help with the pain, maybe better than the bottle (which also requires time and money)
I think people just reach for the easiest and most available drug to alleviate sorrow.
A christian counsellor can be a Godsend. I went to one, and was subsidised by my GP's medical practise. She was a christian but it didn't affect her practise ie. she counselled people of all religions. However its good to share that maybe you are a Christian and struggling with areas in your life and need a helping hand and listening ear because you find praying in your closet to Him just way too hard at the moment.
God is always near, but it does happen that sometimes we can be far from Him, even angry or confused - this was Job's affliction.
