I'm still pretty new to foraging. Have only been doing this for a few years now.
But slow and steady is the key.
I found a few books that are very helpful, as these books only feature a few plants or fungi at a time with excellent photos and simple yet very precise instructions on preparations and use.
I have been very interested in mushrooms and there medicinal value for arthritis. :)
But more so, I simply love to find foods that are healthy and free, I liken it to finding easy money when I find a good food source.
My family loves the wild berry jams the most.:):):)

Nice. I agree slow and steady is good. One thing that can help speed it up though is to research plants you already know. It’s easier to learn the edible qualities of plants you know verses hunting them down. Like pine nuts.
