I think we have to value what a relationship is and the people we have them with. I don't think we need to be interviewing for the open position of Fiance.
So true Liamson!----^^^^^^^^

As shallow as it may sound to I think the finding someone in "my league" is a part of it too. I'm not about to marry let alone start a relationship with girl who had a very wealthy upbringing and is used to more expensive tastes just because I know I won't be able to give her what she feels is normal, unless of course she's really willing to step down from that lifestyle
This happened with me...Zao-----^^^^^^^

It was something I used to beat myself up about inside...not being a good provider,etc... she never once said it to me,or made any such comment like how come you can't make tons of money like my Dad does??? But I was aware of it & I really let the devil make me feel like crap about it too. Well,I won't give him any credit for it..It was ALL ME..I should have told him to stick it up his wazooooo. I totes get what yer' saying though & if I ever do date or get married again to a woman that comes from mucho dinero...I am gonna keep that beast in check!

Bluee3Falcon, I understand what you are asking. In those instances, from my observations.. when there are churches with large number of great single guys and girls, since there are so many.. the bar goes up to the fantasy level and all of these great people just see the other as 'normal or average'. It then becomes a situation where they are looking for that extremely exceptional person. Looking for someone to fit every last preference they have and/or superficial perfected ideal dream person who looks like they just walked off a movie set who acts like a soap opera star and is just ''Christian'' at the very least. He/She just needs to be going to a Church, at which point and be a ''believer'', they will help him/her in their faith ( as everyone has to start at some point and grow, to their thinking ). If all of those requirements are met and is therefore acceptable, then all rush to ask that one person out, and said person gets all the attention once they arrive on the scene at church. ( who they have been waiting for and praying for ) Many are asking the same question As seen below.. from high up on their pedestal, and the answer is further below:

I noticed a lot of people mentioning asking out someone you don't really know. I didn't mean that at all. I meant that I just notice a lot of great single guys at my church who know a lot of the girls really well and I find it suprising that a lot more of them aren't dating. You would think by now some of them would be interested in each other!

This question was already answered....

I think if you want to be approached more, you have to drop more hints. When I was a teenager I found out that my friend's cousin had a huge crush on me and really liked me.....I would have never guessed. I would try to talk to her and make her feel comfortable in the group but she was always really shy and wouldn't speak much. I was shocked when I found out she was interested.....had she just gave me a signal that she was interested I would have asked her out.

If you aren't being extra friendly to a guy or giving him any indication that you might be interested.....you shouldn't be surprised if you never get asked out. I've noticed a lot of girls in general try to hide their interest so they don't "give it away". That's a bad strategy. lol.

As Ugly pointed out; this. ^^

And to prove the point, I did ask a girl out after she showed some interest. You can't make the assumption that we know you are interested. Guys can be pretty oblivious at times.

I like to use my model of asking women out from the classic, yet poignant videos of ZZ Top. The girls go crazy for a sharp dressed man. sorry...carry on

This. God calls us men to lead, but He didn't make us mind readers.

I would not like to ask a total stranger for a date. I would prefer to ask someone who have same interest so we have lots of things to talk about. If i get an opportunity i will not wait to ask a girl on a date who is from my church or community as i know that we would be talking about many things which would be common and will not make me or her feel bore and through that talks we would know each other better and enjoy each other company. I will not ask a girl even if the girl is showing interest in me, its better not to do it so that you don't end up making yourself look like an stupid and next day onwards she mention you as a boring, annoying to other girls in her group.
