But yea, i am a bit grieved about hearing about my new friend..but thats another subject.

Doesn't matter, manly man isn't concerned with looking well groomed. He is too busy being a manly man, doing manly things to care! It might look jacked up to you but you aren't a woman. Some women like gruff, not the confused kind me thinks.

I half-way agree. It's more or less the man's attitude. Ask women anywhere, an un-groomed man is a giant turnoff for them. An unkept or filthy person turns everyone off actually. I'm sure this is not what you meant, but I just wanted to clarify! =)

I think it is more how you carry yourself mentally and behavior wise..
If you come across like a man servant, worshipping at the altar of woman..you will not come across as a manly man..its not that you have to become a bad man, but a good man..a 'nice' guy, is the easiest way to become and maintain yourself in the friendzone..so i am learning.
