A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping of a leaky roof in rainstorm.-Proverbs 27:15
An old Arab proverb says, "Three things make a house intolerable: tak (rain leaking through the roof), bak (bugs), and nak (a nagging wife)." The same truth is revealed in Proverbs 27:15.
Drip. Drip. Drip. Nag. Nag. Nag. Nagging accomplishes little except to build walls between husbands and wives, and moms and children.
Certainly, wives desire and have the right to express their wants and needs to their husbands--and be heard. Moms also need to be taken seriously by their offspring. And of course, some approaches work better than others.
With your husband, choose a time that is good for both of you. Establish eye contact. An then with a smile if possible, express your feelings to your husband. Talk together until you come to some agreement on how to meet the need.
With your kids, be specific about your expectations and explain clearly the consequence if your expectations are not met. Follow through with consistency. Praise them when they comply. Positive reinforcement can be a wonderful motivator.
Remember no nagging and a better atmosphere for family and you. There is a time and place to handle things and in a bad mood is not good start. BREATH BREATH Calm down and handle it later when you get time to talk to your spouse and when they get time because your a part of family not the only part so respect them and make their environment bearable.
