The third "BE" I want to talk about is found in Exodus 19:6...And ye shall be unto me
a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.

This verse echoes itself in 1 Peter 2:9...But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priest
hood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shewforth the praises of him
who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

We will back up to 1 Peter 2:5 to find out exactly what job what a royal holy priest is
suppose to do.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spirit house, an holy priesthood, to offer up
spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

So the job of the priest in the old testament was to offered up animals for the sins
of the people.

In the book of Hebrews 7:26 - 28, we read that Jesus did away with animal
sacrifices because he himself became the ultimate sacrifice.

But yet we read in 1 Peter 2:5 - 9 that God wants us to be a royal and holy
priesthood, and that he wants us to offer up spiritual sacrifices.

Question is, What are spiritual sacrifices?

Here are a few spiritual sacrifices that God want us to offer up to him.

1st sacrifice is intercessary prayer. Just as the high priest would offered
up animal sacrifices for the sins of people, Intercessary prayer is when we
as high priests offer up prayer sacrifices for other people. Truth is when
most christians pray, we pray more for ourselves and very little for others.
When we began to pray more for others, than we began to be the high
priest that God wants us to be. Intercessary prayer offer up for others
become spiritual sacrifices unto God.

Phillipians 2:3 - 5 reads, Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory;
but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things
of others, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Here are a few examples of intercessary prayer...

Lamentations 2:19 reads, Arise, cry out in the night; in the beginning of
the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD;
lift up thy hands towards him for the life of thy youngchildren, that faint
for hunger in the top of every street.

Job 1:5 reads, And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone
about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning,
and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said,
It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did
Job continually.

The question is, are we praying for our youth? Did you know that Satan loves
to P.R.E.Y on our youth. He is like a cat ready to kill a mouse and devour it.
Our youth like in Lamentations are running wild in the streets, and they are hungry
for love and affection, and the places where they are looking for it are places design
to take them straight to hell.

Our youth need our prayers!!!

Another intrcessary prayer is praying for those in authority.

1st Timothy 2:1 - 2 reads, I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are
in authority; that we lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty.

If we want our leaders to make the right decisions, we need to pray for them. They may
be the head, but we can be the neck that turns the head.

Are we truly praying for those in authority?

The second spiritual sacrifice that I want to mention is the sacrifice of praise.
Hebrews 13:15 reads, By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to
God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Psalms 22:3 reads, But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises
of Israel.

So in other words, the more we praise him, the more he is going to manifest
himself to us!!!

These are just a few spiritual sacrifices that we can offer up to God. And when we
do we become the royal holy priesthood that God wants us to be.
