The NT repeatedly affirms that the believer's holiness is a completed, past tense reality the moment they trust Christ. This is not progressive, not earned, not maintained by performance. It is the direct result of union with Christ' Holy Spirit baptism/sealing & imputed righteousness of God.
Already Sanctified (Made Holy). These passages explicitly state sanctification as a completed act: 1 Cori 1:2, sanctified in Christ Jesus. 1 Cor 6:11, you were washed, sanctified & justified. Heb 10:10, we have been sanctified > once for all time.
Already Holy & Blameless. These passages describe believers as presently holy, not becoming holy: Col 1:22, holy, unblameable & unreproveable. Eph 1:4, holy & without blame before Him.
Already Saints (Holy Ones). Saint = hagios = holy one. Not a future status. Rom 1:7, called saints. Eph 2:19, fellow citizens with the saints.
Already Righteous (Which Implies Holiness). Righteousness & holiness are inseparable. 2 Cor 5:21, made the righteousness of God in Him.
Already Holy Because the Spirit Dwells Within. Holiness is tied to the indwelling Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 3:16, you are the temple of God. Rom 8:9, if any man have not the Holy Spirit. Eph 1:13, sealed with the Holy Spirit at belief.
Already Complete in Christ. Completeness includes holiness, righteousness & acceptance. Col 2:10, you are complete in Him.
Already Perfected Forever. This is the strongest single verse for completed holiness: Heb 10:14, He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. Amen
