I walk around with a wandering smile
Trying to find the life I dream to live.
I have gone for miles and miles,
Only to find myself deceived.

Again and again I tried to hide,
from the voice that calls me.
Over and over I choose the lie,
That blinds me to thee.

I have run. I have crawled,
Looking for a way to ease my pain.
My heart raped as it lay sprawled,
Yet still unable to leave my bane.

My heart's been broken in pieces.
And no matter how I tried to put it back,
They're scattered in all places.
I have no way to go back on track.

Help me stranger! Help me please!
I shout. I scream! Cant' you see?
I have been bound and I need release.
I cry. I fight. I rage! Why won't anyone save me?

Then a blinding light came
Washing over me.
You called out my name,
And suddenly I am free!

How can it be that you my King
Came to this world and forsook it all for me?
Who am I? What am I? That you went searching
To hold me and have me?

You were on a mission
Where I was left for dead.
You showed the world I am your passion
And called me your Beloved.
