I think there should be a best reply posted at the top of old post like many of the answer sites. This would be determined by the administrators as the best reply to a thread.

That's just more time spent with the admins having to read every post. And then who's to say what the admins deem the best post? Some people hate my posts, and others love my posts. 'Best' post is very subjective. I see posts i think are aggravating, yet the OP gets something out of it and likes it.
Between all the time it would take, and the subjective nature of this concept, i don't see it being practical.
Also, what's deemed an 'old' post? What if someone brings up an 'old' post and adds to it? And that post is 'better' than the 'best' post?

There is no doubt... we like the posts that 'agree' with us. This could develop into a 'love fest'......:) <><

You choose :) you can give a 'like' & if you REALLY like it a 'rep'. You are then in control...probably best? <><

tomshardware.com has this feature, but the community selects the "best answer" instead of strictly the Moderators and Administrators.

Then again, I don't think they have 'like' and 'rep' buttons.
