For those who don't know me, I freaked out on here for a good seven months between November 22, 2015 and June 23, 2016. My husband John had a massive heart attack, and we weren't sure if he was coming back to this home, or to God's home for the longest time.
Since then, we've been hunkered down waiting. He had lost so much blood from a multitude of blood thinners, and we weren't sure if he'd ever be back to normal again. Add to that he had a Stage IV bedsore that we could have fit a big coffee mug into. Then his iron levels were so far down he had no energy. And finally when all of that settled down, we got news that his heart had slowed down to 80% of what it had been when he left the hospital, sooo, lots of invasive and supposedly-not invasive tests for the last few months. Always waiting to hear the news that scared us the most -- he'd have to go back into the hospital. (VA hospital, and it's worse than you hear on the news, if you're in-patient. Surprisingly good, if you're an out-patient.)
Today was the day we saw his cardio to find out the results of the tests. Neither one of us had any idea how much we were waiting and worried until we heard the news.
Guess what's wrong with his heart. It's in a 70-year-old's body!
That's right. The day it showed it was only working at 80% was a momentary thing. It's not perfect. It's not working like it used to, but it's working just fine for a 70-year-old! He's been seeing his cardio every 1-3 months. His next appointment is in 6 months!
He's normal!!! (Well, he's my husband, so you have to know something is a little off with him, but other than that, he's normal! lol)
Praise God! We are now free to move about our lives without worrying about his health constantly! Freaked-out woman from this time last year, is very, very happy woman this year! And he's just as happy! Praise God!!!
