Blood speaks!! When Able killed Cain, the Lord came to Cain and said, ''Where is your brother?'' And Cain said, "am I my brothers keeper?'' The Lord let him know that the voice of Ables blood cries to him from the ground. And indeed Able's blood spoke.
On the altars of Israel were offered bulls and goats and rams, which were meant to be done as an outward showing of the inward repentance of the person offering the offering. In those days the priests would offer offerings, for each section of trespass, for themselves and for the congregation of Israel. However, these sacrifices meant nothing, not as much as the condition of the heart of the person, on whose behalf the offering was offered.
And with all of this ritual, could these sacrifices please God? Could they keep these people from sinning? NO!!!!! None of it mattered with him. When that blood was spilled from those animals it was for an allegory of the promise to Abraham, that God himself would provide an offering. And it is this offering that would please God, and if this blood was spilled, it would speak volumes to the Lord God, of the person for whom it had been spilled, AND APPLIED TO!!
The blood of Jesus Christ is a testimony to God!! It speaks!! The blood of Jesus is a testimony of salvation, a covering against death. It is a mark of preservation. It is a fort!!! It is a BLOOD FORT!!
When the children of Israel would be delivered from Pharaoh, the night before the deliverance a command was given by the prophet for every household of Israel to prepare a lamb and slay it and put the blood of the Lamb above the lintel of the door post. WOW!!! And this would be a testament for that household. It would speak to the angel of death and tell it to passover that household. In the same way, the blood of Jesus on that lintel of the door post of our hearts will cause death to passover. This is how Jesus is our passover.
Without the blood, there is no testimony to God that you are any of his. And without the blood you will be subject to death, eternal. It is not enough to say, OH THE BLOOD, or sing nice songs about his sacrifice. Or to even say this or that. YOU HAVE TO APPLY IT! Faith without the deed following to show your faith. If you say you have faith, OBEY. Jesus Christ died ONCE and FOR ALL so that ANYONE who goes to him will not die but have EVERLASTING LIFE. THAT MEANS LIVE FOREVER!! So Jesus is that fountain of youth that SOME men seek. Repent of sin. Follow Jesus. May Jesus bless you.
