Firearms are easy to make. You can make a repeating 12 gauge shotgun in an afternoon from parts at the local hardware store not to mention IEDs, etc... One need look no farther than Mexico to see what a colossal failure strict gun control is.
The weird thing is that most of these outlaw all gun protestors probably return home from their rallies and intake substances that are illegal. Which would prove a major point on our end.

Indeed. Astute observation. Apparently a society in rebellion against God, His holiness, and His design for humanity results in far less desirable results. Well stated.
It's easier for people to blame guns than it is to admit that there is something deeply wrong with our society. Get rid of guns and we'll still have a dysfunctional society full of damaged people.

These "blankets" were on Fox News this evening............apparently they cost about $1,000.00 each........and are ONLY bullet "resistant" NOT "proof."

Saw a class demonstration of children using them...........and in my opinion (as a Vet) is that these will surely make folks "feel better." However, I do not see them being all that effective.

In fact, they may be more dangerous than helpful simply because they will give the user a false sense of security.......throwing this blanket over as much of them as possible and "huddling in place" while some sicko walks around shooting people, INSTEAD of running to safety.........

My thoughts.......

And guns too. The criminals will always have them even if they have to make them.

Another great point. The UN released a report showing that 200,000 people die annually from drug and alcohol addiction.

World Drug Report 2012

This doesn't even scratch the surface of the damage addiction does. Let's see a report tallying the number of families destroyed, the number of children neglected and abused, etc... etc... etc...

The weird thing is that most of these outlaw all gun protestors probably return home from their rallies and intake substances that are illegal. Which would prove a major point on our end.

Lol..I knew I would shake the cage by saying that but us Aussies have a vastly different mentatlity about guns. When we hear about the massacres, we just shake our heads and say when will they learn.
Idk man. You also live on a huge island which makes it really hard for criminals to manufacture/import guns into your country.

Criminal in Australia when told that guns are banned: Well, guess we gotta go to knives.

Criminal in USA when told that guns are banned: Lol k.

You also have a pretty suppressive government that feels free to do what it wants. Not saying we don't have a suppressive government, but our gov knows that every move it makes could have serious repercussions of the revolution/civil war kind. If your gov overstepped and started to head toward the Nazi Germany/North Korean route, you would only have rocks to throw at their fully automatics and we've seen what happens in that scenario (cough, Ukraine, cough). Also I'd like to point out that America is a country with many enemies. Arming citizens puts the country at an incredibly tactical advantage from invasion. We have always invaded countries with banned guns. We stroll in and start owning the country IMMEDIATELY. Imagine a country trying to invade us when they have to worry about gunfire from every house/building/person in the country. The only way another country would be able to invade us successfully would be to kill us all :/

Not saying that America doesn't have a problem with psychopaths getting a hold of guns, but guns aren't the issue. It's the psychopaths (well documented ones at that).
