We have developed many things, the population of man has grown to fill the earth, we have conquered and suffered, discovered and wondered but one thing we have forgotten is that the time we have here is finite as are we. We have done so much and man has moved on from the reality that our time is borrowed. From the reality that things could and will come to an end and the further we move through time the less we are convinced that it will happen, the more we are convinced that time will go on, that time will continue, but for how long?
How long will time really last for us? Is our time here almost up?
We are here on borrowed time
much forgotten down the line
Now don't believe so easily
That an ends destined to be
As time goes on
more we forget
or choose naively to forget
that borrowed time is not to last
as go stories of the past
Our ancestors all made aware
Life is not forever here
Nor intended to be such
believe us little, not as much
and as we prosper
families grow
flowers bloom and waters flow
We start to think we'll never end
but borrowed time on it depend
And so forth must the story go
And with it bring abound sorrow
Because we cannot comprehend
That time is coming to an end
That what we've chosen to neglect
Be the biggest mistake yet
Coz' borrowed time was not to last
The clock keeps ticking
Time has passed.
