Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

What church did Jesus establish?

1) A theoretical invisible church
2) a real but temporary church
3) a real permanent church
4) many opposing churches

it seems to me that if he says the very gates of hell will not prevail against it that it is one permanent united church under his apostles. Based on the faith of Peter.

A church united under God, the Father, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
