Israel is suspending all building supplies materials going into Gaza, after a 1.7 Km tunnel was found leading from Gaza into Israel. The tunnel is very well built using huge amount of concrete and other building materials.

Just imagine how many homes could have been built with this. But no, it all goes towards the war machine against Israel.

Of course Hamas etc will now play the victim in declaring how babies and children are going to die and suffer and people having to live in ruins and squalor thanks to Israel blocking building materials.

Total shock. I'm speechless.

Until the people in Gaza get fed up with Hamas and refuse to support the terrorists, this is what's going to keep happening. Since they want to continue to support Hamas, I guess this will continue.

Ovadia Yosef, rabbi and Israeli kingmaker, dies

....

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, in his own words
The far-right Israeli cleric Rabbi Ovadia Yosef has made comments that would be condemned if they came from an Iranian leader.
By Dan Murphy, Staff writer / October 7, 2013

Hundreds of thousands of his supporters took the streets of Jerusalem to mourn. Former Israeli President Shimon Peres visited with Mr. Yosef at his hospital bedside just hours before he passed, tenderly kissing his hand and forehead, according to The Jerusalem Post. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a statement issued by his office, spoke of his "profound grief" and said that "the Jewish People have lost one of the wisest men of his generation."

His religiously inspired views have given more political power to clerics in Israel, and his ultimate agenda frightened non-Jews.

For instance, in 2010 he said in a weekly Saturday night sermon that the sole purpose God put non-Jews on earth was to be servants to Jews.

"Goyim (gentiles, non-Jews) were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel," he said, according to the Jerusalem Post. "Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat. That is why gentiles were created." An "effendi" is a lord, or a master, in Arabic.

..."all these evil people should perish from this world. God should strike them with a plague, them and these Palestinians."

On Arabs in general, he said in 2001, "It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable." In 2009 he said of Muslims "their religion is as ugly as they are."

To be sure, it's not just in Israel where Yosef was popular. Bill de Blasio, the democrat who's the current front-runner to be mayor of New York, had this to say about the departed rabbi today:

Bill de Blasio
Millions of people around the world lost a leader today in Rabbi Chacham Ovadia Yosef. His wisdom, charity and sensitivity were legendary.

Sorry ZOne, but what has your post got to do with Palestinians building an illegal tunnel from Gaza into Israel, which has used up a great deal of all building supplies entering Gaza, when they could have been used for building homes instead.

NOTHING AT ALL

When it is reported on news that tunnels have been found, people assume its just a basic crude tunnel, they have no idea of the size, scale and building materials used.

We continually read criticism that Israel restricts the amount of building supplies allowed into Gaza, that the lack of building supplies is stopping people from re-building much needed infrastructure, which people like youself are too quick to mention and bring up.

HOwever once people see that what little in way of building supplies is allowed into Gaza, simply goes into building tunnels like the one mentioned in this report, then it must become an impossible argument to use, that Israel is evil for not letting Palestinians to build homes by stopping building supplies.
